Помимо дюжины основных баскетболисток, включенных в окончательную заявку, были определены и три резервных игрока. Это защитник Елена Волкова, форвард Людмила Сапова и центровая Татьяна Бокарева. Они продолжат подготовку вместе с командой и в случае экстренной необходимости будут готовы заменить кого-то из баскетболисток.

With a month to go before the start of the Beijing Olympics, Russia has unveiled the team?s official outfit. It features a fire-bird logo from Russian folklore, which both designers and athletes hope will bring the team good luck.

Comme ? son habitude, la Russie aura bien mollement pr?par? son tournoi. Accumulant les d?faites (Espagne, Lettonie...) les championnes d'Europe en titre pr?sentent cette ann?e la particularit? d'?tre conduite depuis peu (10 jours) par Becky Hammon, la jamais s?lectionn?e de l'?quipe des USA. Tout comme l'?quipe masculine russe avec JR Holden, celle d'Igor Groudine aura enfin une super meneuse mais la sauce n'a pas encore pris. Elles sont pourtant presque toutes l? : Ilona Korstine, Maria Stepanova, Svet Abrosimova et compagnie mais pas notre Buster Keaton f?minin pr?f?r?e Olga Arteshina qui attend son premier enfant et ne joue plus depuis fin f?vrier.
