Silver Stars Partner with Salvation Army for WNBA Cares
SAN ANTONIO, May 13, 2010 – As part of WNBA Cares Week of Service and in conjunction with National Salvation Army Week, the Silver Stars have partnered with the Salvation Army San Antonio Area Command to lend a helping hand in the community. Silver Stars guard Becky Hammon, forward Megan Frazee, and centers Ruth Riley, and Jayne Appel, visited one of the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio on Friday, May 14, to speak to approximately 60 students in the center’s after-school program about making their dreams a reality.
